On Friday, Woj reported that the Houston Rockets were guaranteeing DeMarcus Cousins contract for the remainder of the 2020-21 NBA season.
One day later, Shams reported that Houston is surprisingly waiving Cousins, despite the fact he seemingly did everything the Rockets could have hoped for when they signed him to a one-year deal worth $2.56 million.
